Frank Lloyd Wright in Orinda

If you open a Frank Lloyd Wright house to the public, even if it's just for one weekend, the Geeks will come. Even if they charge a hefty fee (proceeds to benefit preservation of other Frank houses). Even if they make you park at the BART station and catch a shuttle bus. The Geeks will show up. Including us.

Walking into the driveway of the Buehler house in Orinda, CA. The original owners (Maynard and Katherine Buehler) lived there for 60+ years. Now the house is for sale. Details and cool photos are here.

Two Geeks in Love (with Frank) [and each other] near a corner of the house. Note the rampant use of cinder block (it's Frank, so it's OK).

Detail of pattern cut into wood:

Wider view of same pattern. This is the walkway to the front door.

Same wall, interior side. A 40' hallway lined with bookshelves, light streaming in, and all that wood - what more do you need?

Just for fun, a plaque made by the Buehlers - I'm assuming to commemorate their wedding date?
